Totally deleting. After the update the brilliant minds have decided to charge for the app? Scr*w you. Ctv among other apps have been better and have not decided to bamboozle readers into buying further app content. We realize nothing is done without a cost but to do it the way you did is underhanded. Bye bye to the Calgary sun app. Its embarrassing to have our citys name attached to this poorly executed (in more ways than one) app.

This was a decent app before they upgraded. Now .99 cants for seven days, no thanks!! Ill use the Herald for free on my iPad.

Totally agree with the rest of the reviews here. Upgraded App is a POS. I can easily get my news elsewhere for free. Deleting the App now...

Crashes, crashes, crashes. Wont load, wont update. Now they want $$. Was about to delete it, then saw update. Thought they might have worked out the many bugs crawling all over its software. But no. Just want to charge for something thats probably just going to have the same problems. Dont pay a dime folks. Was useless when it was free. BRUTAL! Hang you heads in shame SUN

Crappy app, dont waste your time

Sun decided to start charging for the website and app. Their crappy journalism was hardly worth it when it was free, and is certainly not worth it now. I hope they lose a lot of web traffic and as a result advertisement revenue as a result of this.

What a joke! The so called upgrade just done wont load the app now. It was not worth the time of day before. Definitely not worth it now. Plus they want us to pay for it. Get a grip and grab a brain!

Waste of time, was terrible before but now they want you to pay for a subscription.. No thanks! Dont waste your time or money

I deleted it when the news became "locked" unless you pay to subscribe.

99 cents for 7 days????? I might pay that for the app but not per week. Wasnt that great to begin with but now its brutal. Delete!!!

It is horrible, I cant believe you would try to charge me for the small amount of "news" that we were getting. I can get more and better news just by googling the Calgary Herald.

Ive had this app for over 3 years and while it wasnt the best, it worked. Now with the newest update it still doesnt work properly and Im expected to pay for a subscription? No way, there are plenty of other free apps that work. Id suggest yahoo; works great and its free

You seriously want people to pay for this app? You guys are a joke. I have had this app for over a year and really liked it. I did the upgrade today and as a result I just deleted your app

So I updated the Sun app, now I have to pay to access each section of news. Good bye Calgary Sun, hello Metro.

When this app actually worked, it was decent (minus the extremely obvious spelling and grammar errors-shouldnt newspapers have editors?) but the amount of times it randomly shut down made it very frustrating. Will definitely not be paying anything for this.

Terrible app. Slow. Kicks you out all the time. And now you have to pay for it. Download "metro news" best news app out there. Sucky sun.

The Calgary sun app has been free for awhile now, sure the app had a tendency to crash on startup but it wasnt too bad. However with the latest update they failed to mention that the app would now require you to pay to use its services. This app just went from passable to worthless. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!

The Calgary sun expects its loyal readers to PAY for some garbage that wont even load?! App never opens, and the cost to access the news is insane when you consider that everyone else still offers the same service for FREE. I used to be an avid, loyal Calgary sun reader, now I wont even touch their paper. Dont get this app. Waste of time and money.

Useless. Who would pay for this!? Heralds free app is much better.
